A Letter from our CEO
My journey into this industry was a long time in the making. My husband and I have neurodivergent children who are now all adults. Our two youngest children both required early intervention services from a very early age. Our son could utilize the transportation services for special needs students from when he was (3) three years old. This service provided him transportation through high school, and now he works for the company that used to transport him as a monitor.
On the other hand, our daughter was unable to use this service due to her overwhelming generalized anxiety. We would have to attend school with her at the beginning of her educational journey. I chose to stay home with them to ensure they got their required help.
My stay-at-home journey lasted for over 15 years……re-entering the workforce was scary, to say the least. Little did I know that my journey would eventually become my passion. I started as a bus driver for the same special needs transportation service my son rode with. After a year of driving, I realized I had more to offer within the industry. A scheduling opportunity opened up in the office, and I jumped at the chance to do it.
What started as a small job in the office became so much more; I worked my way up to Scheduling Manager in a few short years. I loved what I was doing and the people I worked with; however, I always knew I was meant to do something more. I left that company in October of 2021 to move on to become an Operations Manager for a smaller transportation company. Unfortunately, that did not work out the way I intended, and we parted ways in April this year.
So the journey began to follow my passion and start my own transportation business. I have seen all sides of the transportation industry from a driver, monitor, manager, and Operations Manager perspective. Most importantly, I saw it through the eyes of a parent. I have worked for the most significant special needs transportation provider and one of the smallest. I made a name for myself with this community’s local school districts, teachers, and parents.
